Soviet Union Christmas postcards

Predictable festive post action, of course, but these beautiful postcards found at a flea market in the Ukraine needed to be seen regardless of the season.

The first postcard in particular has such a cosy, innocent, vintage feel to the illustration that I think it would sell en-mass if card chains ripped it off now.  The postmarks on the back place them between the late 60’s and early 70’s.

I’d also like to think the hedgehog’s house is made out of gingerbread. Perfect festive childhood nostalgia.
