This record sleeve is a bit battered but the gorgeous colours and simple retro design were so striking, that when I saw it peeping out from a junk shop in Neukoelln, Berlin, I had to rescue it. The sleeve reads ‘Tancdalfesztival’ which after a bit of probing turns out to be a Hungarian musical talent show that ran from 1966 to 1994. An Eastern bloc X factor basically. If only Susan Boyle’s records looked like this beauty. Pressed in 1968 in Hungary.
